ZEE5’s latest regional direct-to-digital film is the Telugu version of the 2017 Tamil horror-comedy Balloon. The film stars Anjali, Jai and Janani Iyer in leading roles. A blend of horror and comedy, it is written and directed by Sinish and produced by Dhilip Subbarayan, Arun Balaji and Nandakumar.

Jeevanand (Jai) goes to live in an old house in Ooty with his wife (Anjali) and nephew (Master Rishi) hoping to find inspiration to pen a script. However, strange events begin unfolding in the house, all of which are linked to his past.
The film’s music has been composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, cinematography by R Saravanan, and the sound design is by Sachin and Sudhakar. Yogi Babu, Nagineedu, Joy Mathew and Ramachandran Durairaj, among others are part of the cast with a special cameo by Raj Tarun.
Balloon premieres on 10 July on ZEE5.
