The trailer of ABCD director Martin Prakkat’s much-awaited upcoming movie, Charlie, starring Dulquer Salman, Parvathy, and Aparna Gopinath is out. The makers, so far, have been careful not to reveal much about the film. The trailer follows the suit, and doesn’t give any hint about the film’s storyline.

The trailer, which is rich in youthful colours, showcases some magical visuals captured by Jomon T John, the most sought after cinematographer in Malayalam at the moment, and displays glimpses of fun, quirky moments from the film. The background score is jovial. However, it bears an uncanny resemblance to the BGM of French film Amelie and Bollywood film Barfi.

The film has Dulquer playing Charlie, an eccentric, mysterious man. Parvathy’s brand new chic getup and a few moments from the trailer hint that she is playing a traveller who lands in Charlie’s village, in search of someone. Charlie has Dulquer teaming up with Parvathy for a second time, after Bangalore Days. The film has a number of popular actors like Nedumudi Venu, Neeraj Madhav, Aparna Gopinath and Chemban Vinod playing pivotal roles.

The film, written by writer Unni R and produced by Shebin Backer, Joju George and Martin Prakkat, has music scored by Gopi Sunder.
