Pandian, a remake of a Kannada film Bombay Dada was released 25 years ago on Deepavali. A low-budget action-drama with superstar Rajinikanth and Khushboo, it went against Kamal Haasan’s Thevar Magan. While Pandian did not do well at the box office, the songs from the film found some popularity. Perhaps the only Rajinikanth film that does not feature SPB for any song, however, Mano does a stellar job in this, and the other famous song, ‘Pandiyanin Rajiyathil’.
