Actor Vivek Oberoi has forayed into production with Vishal Mishra‘s upcoming thriller flicks Iti: Can You Solve Your Own Murder and Rosie: The Saffron Chapter. While the former is touted to be whodunnit, the latter is a horror film based on true events. Both films are being jointly presented by Mandiraa Entertainment and Vivek Oberoi’s Oberoi Mega Entertainment.
While Iti‘s poster featured the words ‘Can You Solve Your Own Murder’ all over, with an eerie and empty forest in the backdrop, Rosie‘s poster had the words ‘Rosie Saffron’ typed into a Google search bar with suggestions like ‘Rosie Saffron horror story’, ‘Rosie Saffron call centre’, and ‘Rosie Saffron disappearance’ popping up against a white backdrop.

Aabhar Dadhich and Vishal Mishra have penned both stories which will commence shoot in September/October once the film industry is allowed to continue operations. The cast and crew of both films are yet to be finalised. Vipin Chaturvedi has been roped in as an associate producer only for Rosie which is a story based on true incidents in Gurugram/Gurgaon.
Vivek last featured in the action, crime-thriller Rustum (2019), his Kannada debut. Helmed by stunt master Ravi Varma, which was his directorial debut, Vivek shared screen space with Shiva Rajkumar, Shraddha Srinath, Rachita Ram, and Mayuri Kyatari. The film received mixed reviews and scored decently at the box office.
