On Thursday, several composers, singers, and sports stars took to Twitter and Instagram to announce that they have been listed among the ‘100 Most Influential People In Asia/UK/EU 2020’ by the ‘The New York Press News Agency’. The list of personalities included cricketers, television stars, DJs, Bollywood stars, Michelin star chefs, and others who were interviewed by British journalist and former supermodel Kiran Rai along with business partner and tech investor Ralph Pereira.
At the top of the list is Oscar winner AR Rahman followed by Sonu Nigam, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Adnan Sami in the second, third, and fourth positions respectively, . Shruti Haasan, Benny Dayal, Zakir Hussain, Udit Narayan, and, Rahul Vaidya were also listed at various spots amidst sports personalities like Saina Nehwal, Sania Mirza, Neeraj Chopra, Geeta Phogat, Shoaib Akhtar, Mithali Raj, Wasim Akram and chefs Sanjeev Kapoor, Kunal Kapur, and Atul Kochhar.

Kiran Rai and Ralph Pereira have been featured in about 956 newspapers and 89 magazines so far. The duo has covered 106 major events, including 36 sports events, 15 film festivals, and 66 showbiz events. Rai looked at the lockdown period as an opportunity to communicate with several personalities across Asia, Europe, and the United Kingdom knowing that they wouldn’t be tied up with any sort of work. He took to Zoom to interview all the stars with the help of a management firm, global athlete management experts, and several others. The idea was to showcase the lives of these celebrities during the lockdown phase.
The duo has now decided to extend their plan by interviewing more celebrities and curating a list of the ‘500 Most Influential People Across The World’. They aim to set a record in ‘The Guinness Book of Records’ for the most number of interviews conducted globally with influencers on the video conferencing platform Zoom.
