Box Office Report: Anushka Sharma’s ‘Pari’ Earns Rs 4.36 Crores On Its Opening Day

Anushka Sharma’s film Pari, a home production that she stars in, was the only major release on March 2. With Friday being a holiday (Holi) in most parts of North India, the film managed to overshadow another release from the same day, Veerey Ki Wedding starring Pulkit Samrat and Kriti Kharbanda.

Pari, directed by Prosit Roy, also stars Parambrata Chatterjee, Rajat Kapoor, and Ritabhari Chakraborty. The film, despite a limited release in South India owing to a film industry strike, has earned over Rs 4 crores on its opening day.

Meanwhile, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, two weeks after its release, continues to fare well at the box office. This Luv Ranjan directorial has earned over Rs 58 crores in India alone. The film stars Kartik Aaryan, Nushrat Bharucha, Sunny Singh and Ishita Raj Sharma.

Internationally too, the film has fared well, having crossed the one million mark.

Meanwhile, Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan, recently released in China, has already raked in over Rs 34 crores there. The film had a better opening in the country when compared to Aamir Khan’s Dangal.
