Actress Pooja Umashankar and Sri Lankan entrepreneur Deepak Shanmuganathan are engaged and will get married next year. Speaking to the Deccan Chronicle, Pooja confirmed the news of her impending marriage, and added, “”Deepak and I have been close friends for a very long time. He proposed to me recently on his birthday and I accepted!”.
Several Sri Lankan media outlets have carried stories about a relationship between the pair, but the actress has stayed silent about it until this month.
The actress won’t be tying the knot anytime soon though. The duo are looking at a mid 2015 date to allow Pooja to finish her existing commitments.
