Recommended

Kamal Haasan hailed Gouthami as a ‘hero’ for overcoming cancer at an event in Hyderabad. The actor was in the city with Gouthami to launch a specialist cancer centre at which he made the remarks. According to The Hindu, Kamal urged people to quit smoking and stressed on the need for more awareness about cancer and the harmful effects of tobacco. He also said that despite his having acted in over 200 movies, his partner Gouthami was the ‘real-life hero’. “As an actor, I’ve acted in over two hundred films. But I am still not one in real life. By conquering cancer, Gouthami has become a real hero in life.”

The duo will be seen onscreen together in the Tamil adaptation of Drishyam. The film is currently in post-production.
