Projects Worth Rs 200Cr Riding On Salman Khan

The hearing of Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s 16-year-old Arms Act case has been adjourned to March 3. This means a lot not just for Khan, but for many production companies in Bollywood since quite a huge amount of money is riding on this actor who is one of the biggest money-spinners in the Indian film industry.

Khan is accused of hunting the endangered blackbuck and chinkara deer in 1998 while filming Hum Saath Saath Hain in Rajasthan along with a few other actors. He is also accused of using a gun with an expired licence. If verdict goes against him, the actor might get a 7-year term in jail.

According to a Business Standard report, Khan is involved in a number of projects extending up to 2017, and at least Rs 200 crores is riding on him. The 49-year-old Bollywood superstar is currently working on two projects, which will release this year – Kabir Khan’s  Bajrangi Bhaijaan with Kareena Kapoor and Suraj Bhatia’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo with Sonam Kapoor.

Every year since 2011, Khan has had at least two blockbusters and producers expect this to repeat in 2015 as well.

Reportedly, Khan is also making sequels to three films of his – No Entry, Kick and Dabangg.
