Vetaran actor Sathyaraj will play the father of Mahesh Babu in Srikanth Addala’s Brahmotsavam. The actor is no stranger to Telugu audiences after having played key roles in films like Mirchi, Sankham and Baahubali. Brahmotsavam is being promoted as a Tamil-Telugu bilingual.
The film, which was launched recently, will start shooting from the first week of July. Rakul Preet Singh and Praneetha Subhash will play the female leads in the film, which has music by Mickey J. Meyer. Thotta Tharani does the art direction, and R. Ratnavelu handles the camera. A PVP Cinema production, the movie is likely to be a family entertainer along the lines of Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu.
Brahmotsavam is scheduled for release during Sankranti next January.
