Even as theatres gear up for the release of S.S Rajamouli’s magnum opus, Baahubali, members of the team, along with key stakeholders of the Telugu film fraternity, have launched a campaign against piracy. Warning theatre owners that they would be banned from screening any movie for a year if they were found aiding piracy, the filmmakers have also included a special code in the film to track pirated content.

Producer Allu Aravind said that the film has also been granted a “John Doe order”, an order of injunction issued against unknown persons. This order allows authorities to take into custody anyone found downloading a pirated copy of the film.
Starring Rana Daggubati, Prabhas, Anushka Shetty and Tamannah Bhatia, the film has been made on a budget of Rs. 250 crore and will release on 4000 screens. Baahubali releases in cinemas on Friday in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam.
