Actor Vijay’s role in his upcoming film with director Atlee will surprise his fans—the actor is most likely going to play an aged cop. Vijay paid homage to late music director MS Viswanathan yesterday, and was seen sporting a ‘crew’ haircut and moustache. Specifics of the role have yet to be confirmed from the filmmakers.

Shooting of the tentatively titled Vijay 59 is currently underway at the East Coast Road. At the pooja for the film, Atlee said that the movie should be complete by end-December.
Produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu, Vijay 59 features Vijay, Samantha and Amu Jackson in leading roles, while actors Prabhu and Radikaa Sarathkumar form the supporting cast. Sunaina will have a cameo appearance in the film. Vijay 59 also has on board cinematographer George C Williams, music director GV Prakash and editor Ruben on the technical team.
