Speaking at the success meet for Srimanthudu, Mahesh Babu said that of all the appreciation he received for the film, the words of praise from his father, veteran actor G Krishna, left him feeling really emotional. “When dad said that this is the best film of my career, I couldn’t stop myself from crying,” said Mahesh. He also said that he would be indebted to director Koratala Siva for the scale of the film’s success, which has yet to sink in. “It will take time to cherish it. The success has given me a lot of satisfaction as an actor,” he said. He added that he feels a good film’s chances of doing well are high, because he strongly believes in the ability of Telugu audiences to appreciate good cinema.
