Actor Chiranjeevi may have failed to reinvent himself as a politician, but he has no regrets. In an interview to a section of media recently, the actor, who turned 60 on Saturday, said: “I will see my political career as god’s gift. I have got an opportunity to serve people and I can fight for their needs directly. People shower their love and affection on me even today”.

Away from arc lights for nearly 8 years, Chiranjeevi said the success of a film rested on the writer, and added that he’s not in a hurry to do a film. “I am waiting for a story that has all the commercial elements like my earlier films. I am not in a hurry to do a film just for the sake of a record or a number”. The actor is still finalizing script for his 150th film and it’s likely to be announced by this year end. Although he had announced a tentatively titled Auto Johnny, with filmmaker Puri Jagganadh, it was put on hold.
