Gethu team, headed by director Thirukumaran of Maan Karate fame, has completed the talkie portions of the film. The team will start shooting the song sequences soon. Actor Udhayanidhi Stalin, who plays the lead role in the movie, took to Twitter to announce the news and added that only three songs are yet to be shot. He further revealed that they were planning to release the movie on December 18.

The Gethu team, including actors Udhayanidhi Stalin, Amy Jackson, Vikranth and Karunakaran, have been stationed at Goa for about a month now, to shoot some of the important scenes of the film. Actor Sathyaraj plays a crucial role in the film.
In Gethu, actor Vikranth will be playing a grey-shaded role for the first time in his career. A D Imman musical, Gethu is produced and distributed by Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Red Giant Movies.
