Director Arun Vaidhyanathan’s bilingual film – Nibunan in Tamil and Vismaya in Kannada – promises to be a multi-starrer cop-thriller. Actor Arjun Sarja will play an inspector in the film, starring alongside actor Prasanna, and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in the lead.
After the first look of the film was released on 11 July, Nibunan was trending on social media the entire day. The film is about the adventures of police officers, played by the three lead actors. Playing the role of a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) named Ranjit Kalidoss, Arjun will sport a salt-and-pepper look for the first time in a film.

Incidentally, Arjun is known for his cop-action films. He shot to fame by playing the role of a vigilante in S Shankar’s Gentleman in 1993, following which he acted in other films such as Jai Hind (1994), and Kuruthipunal (1995) with Kamal Haasan, where he mostly played police officers. His last bilingual, Oru Melliya Kodu in Tamil and AMR’s Game in Kannada, was released early this year. He played the role of a police officer investigating a murder-mystery in this film as well.
Produced by Passion Film Factory, Nibunan/Vismaya‘s release is slated to be sometime in September.
