Director Sundar C seems to be sparing no expense to make his Aranmanai look realistic. The bilingual supernatural thriller needed a realistic looking palace to serve as its backdrop, and unable to find a suitable one, the team decided to build one in Hyderabad.
The cost of the palace, which plays a key role in the movie, was a whopping ₹3 crore. The palace was built by 400 people over a 3 month period. The multi-starrer is being produced by Vision I Medias and the cast includes Hansika Motwani, Santhanam, Andrea Jeremiah, Lakshmi Rai, Vinay Rai, Kovai Sarala, Manobala and Kaadhal Dhandapani among others. The music is scored by Bharadwaj and composer will finish recording five songs for the movie this month.
