Actress Mia George will be playing a doctor in the upcoming Malayalam film ‘The Great Father’, in which she will be sharing screen space with Mammootty for the first time. The Great Father marks the directorial debut of Haneef Adeni. It is being produced by Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shaji Nadesan, Arya and Santhosh Sivan under the banner of August Cinema. Arya will also be playing the role of the antagonist in the film.

Miya is the third addition to the list of actresses in the film, after Sneha and Malavika Mohanan. This movie also marks actress Sneha’s return to the Malayalam Film Industry after a six year break. The Great Father has Anikha of Yennai Arindhaal fame essaying another important role. The movie will be shot primarily in Thrissur, Wagamon and Kochi.
Mia George, who is equally active in Mollywood and Kollywood, had two Tamil releases this year – Vetrivel and Oru Naal Koothu. She has Rum and Vijay Antony’s Yeman lined up. She also awaits the release of her untitled Telugu film directed by Kranti Madhav.
