Another shooting schedule of Superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming film, 2.o is now complete. Directed by Shankar, this film is the sequel to the 2010 film Endhiran. The film stars Akshay Kumar as the antagonist and Amy Jackson and Sudhanshu Pandey in supporting roles.

The first-look poster of Rajinikanth’s 2.o will be unveiled in November. Slated to release next year, the film features Rajinikanth as scientist Vaseegaran. 2.o made on a budget of Rs. 350 crores, is said to be India’s most expensive movie at this point of time, surpassing that of SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Begining, which was made on a budget of Rs. 250 crores. There is another schedule of shooting left to be completed, in which scenes involving Akshay Kumar will be fimed. The shooting of the film is expected to be complete by December, exactly a year since the film’s production was started.
2.0 has been shot in 3D, with Baahubali VFX supervisor Srinivas Mohan handling the graphics.

Shankar has retained costume designer Mary E Vogt, and brought on board a number of Hollywood technicians with prestigious track records. These include special effects studio Legacy Effects (that worked on Avatar, Iron Man 2 & 3, The Avengers, X-Men:Days of Future Past, and Life of Pi), action director Kenny Bates (who worked on Transformers, and Armageddon), John Huges (who worked on Life of Pi), and Walt Jones of Taufilms (who worked on Babe, Golden Compass, and Life of Pi).
Music director A R Rahman, sound designer Resul Pookutty, cinematographer Nirav Shah and art director Muthuraj are also a part of the team. Produced by Lyca Productions, the film is expected to release in late 2017. The first-look of the film will be released on the 20 November. A leaked picture of the first-look poster has been doing the rounds on the internet the past 10 days.
