Ghattamaneni Manjula, the sister of actor Mahesh Babu and daughter of yesteryear star Krishna, is set to make her directorial debut. Manjula is reported to be working on a script with a team of writers and the project might go on the floors next month. The film is claimed to be a light-hearted romantic drama.

Manjula has produced many a hit films like Pokkiri and Kavya’s Diary under her banner, Indira Productions. She had earlier produced and starred in Show (2002), a film that received the National Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu. Earlier, there were reports that she would step into direction with a movie starring Nani. Now, a recent Deccan Chronicle report says that the movie’s team has approached Sundeep Kishan for the lead actor.
