Director Nadirshah’s film Kattapaniyile Rithwik Roshan will be remade in Tamil. Produced by actor Dileep, the film portrayed the life of an average-looking youngster who wants to make it big as a movie star. The film garnered both box-office success and critical acclaim.
This will be Nadirshah’s debut film as a director in Kollywood. He is best known for work as a comedian.

Pre-production work for the remake has already begun. Vishnu Unnikrishnan, who played the lead in the original, will be retained for the remake as well.
As per reports, veteran actors like Sathyaraj and Vadivelu have been signed to play pivotal roles in the project. The movie has been jointly scripted by lead actor Vishnu Unnikrishnan and Bibin George.
Kattapaniyile Rithwik Roshan had a stellar supporting cast with Kumar, Siddique, Siju Wilson, Kalabhavan Shahjohn, Rahul Madhav, Abu Salim, Tara Kalyan, and Seema G Nair. Prayaga Martin and Lijomol Jose played the female leads.
The remake will begin shooting soon, with a possible release date this summer.
