The lead actors are Sundeep Kishan and Mehreen Kaur Pirzada, while actor Vikranth, who had earlier done a supporting role in Suseethiran’s Paandiyanaadu, plays an important role in the film. Other cast members are Harish Uthaman, comedian Soori, and Appukutty. Sundeep Kishen, who has acted in over 10 films in Telugu, is not new to Tamil cinema. He has acted in the 2013 Tamil film Yaaruda Mahesh and has two other films – Maayavan and Maanagaram – awaiting release. Mehreen made her debut in Telugu with last year’s Krishnagaadi Veera Prema Gaadha. She is also doing her maiden Hindi film, Phillauri with Anushka Sharma and Diljit Dosanjh. Vikranth will next be seen in Kavan starring Vijay Sethupathi, T Rajendar and Madonna Sebastian.
SD Imman composes music for Aram Seidhu Pazhagu while Vairamuthi and Madhan Karky pen the lyrics. Kasi Vishwanathan handles the editing, and the project is bankrolled by Annai Film Factorie. Launched in Hyderabad in November last year, the movie has been filmed in Chennai, Vishakapattinam, Nellore and Tirupathi.
While the movie is said to be a ‘drama’, director Suseenthiran could not be reached for comment.
