Actress Rakul Preet Singh has been roped in to play the female lead in AR Murugadoss’s next movie, starring Mahesh Babu. The 26-year-old actress will be seen essaying the role of a medico in this yet-to-be-titled film.
A Deccan Chronicle report states that Rakul’s role is very integral to the plot, and is ‘not just to add glamour quotient to the movie’.

“It would be interesting [to watch] because in Murugadoss’s projects, the heroines have little to do and are mainly there for songs — a separate track is made for them, which is always away from the plot. Rakul’s character though, will be woven into the story,” a source told the newspaper.
The action thriller is all set to hit the screens on June 23, and will see Mahesh Babu playing an investigator in the movie. The bilingual will be released both in Telugu and Tamil simultaneously.
The first-look teaser and the title will be unveiled, soon. NV Prasad and Tagore Madhu have produced the movie.
