Voter is the name of the film starring Manchu Vishnu and actress Surbhi. At an elaborate function held in Tirupati recently, veteran music director Ilaiyaraaja revealed the title of the Telugu-Tamil bilingual which marks Vishnu’s debut in Kollywood.

According to a Deccan Chronicle report, the film explores the theme of a citizen’s right to vote.
Directed by Karthik Reddy and bankrolled by John Sudheer Pudota, actress Mia George was initially approached to play the female lead in the film. But when this fell through, actress Surbhi was signed, reports suggest. Currently in pre-production, the film will go on floors in June 2017. SS Thaman will compose music for this action entertainer which seeks to show Manchu Vishnu in a new light.

Incidentally, Manchu Vishnu and Karthik have already collaborated for Sarada (2016).
Vishnu was last seen in Luckunnodu with Hansika Motwani in January this year. He also has Amyra Dastur’s debut Telugu film, Achari, in the pipeline (directed by G Nageswara Reddy).
Surbhi was last seen in the Telugu film, Gentleman. She will next be seen in Adangathey, in which she will star alongside GV Prakash Kumar and Sarath Kumar.
