Vinod Khanna, who died of advanced bladder carcinoma on April 27, reportedly hid the news of his illness for a while because of his role as a politician. According to an Indian Express report, Khanna had organised a media interaction at his constituency Gurdaspur earlier this year.
During the course of the interaction, Khanna talked about his battle with Cancer. He added that he was dignosed with the disease six years ago and had chosen to keep it away from many, especially his young daughter who had an exam to write around that time.
Khanna also revealed at the time that his cancer was 80 percent cured and that he had “finally won the battle” against the disease.
The 70-year-old veteran actor passed away at 11:20 AM in Mumbai’s HN Reliance Foundation and Research Centre yesterday.
