Actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar has reportedly joined N Lingusamy’s Sandakozhi 2. The film has actors Vishal Krishna and Keerthy Suresh in lead roles.
According to a Deccan Chronicle report, the actress will essay an important role in the film that was announced last year.

A source tells DC that the film will begin shooting in July, with pre-production work taking place at the moment. Lingusamy, who has taken to producing films, is currently working on the final stages of the script.
Sandakozhi 2 is a sequel to the 2005 film of the same name. The sequel has faced several delays, and was re-launched in late 2016, a good decade after than the original.
Lingusamy, meanwhile, might soon begin working on the untitled project with Allu Arjun.
Varalaxmi is currently working on a slew of projects including two Malayalam films : Kaattu and an untitled one with Mammootty. She will also be seen in Vargam opposite RK Suresh.
