Yogi Babu has joined the cast of Atlee’s Vijay 61. Yogi Babu, who is best known for comic performances in Maan Karate, will be acting alongside comedian Vadivelu. He last worked with Vijay in Velayudham, where he had a brief appearance.

“Yes, I have been signed on to provide comic relief in the film and I have a lot of combination scenes with Vijay sir. I played a brief role in Velayudham and I am really excited to perform alongside Vijay sir in this prestigious project,” he told Deccan Chronicle.
The movie is being directed by Atlee Kumar and has Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Kajal Aggarwal, Nithya Menen, and SJ Suryah in its cast. The crew of the movie have completed their Europe schedule and have reportedly begun shooting in Chennai.
The first look of the movie is expected to release on Vijay’s birthday, on June 22. The film is being bankrolled by Sri Thenandal Films.
