Through a statement posted on his Twitter account, Kumar said:

“A lot has happened in the last three months which has emotionally and mentally drained me. However, I have faith and confidence that eventually truth will prevail.”

Shortly after a young woman wrote about Kumar sexually harassing her on Medium, Mumbai Police is said to have received over 50 complaints against him. Soon after, people began calling for Kumar to step down from his role as CEO.

An FIR was filed against Kumar, following which he availed an anticipatory bail from the Mumbai’s Dindoshi Sessions Court under the condition that he fully co-operates with the police. He also agreed not to threaten witnesses who had testified against him.
