Hollywood actor and three time Academy Award winner Daniel Day-Lewis, will no longer be seen on the big screen, his publicist said in a statement yesterday.
According to a report in Deadline, the Lincoln actor’s publicist said, “He will no longer be working as an actor. He is immensely grateful to all of his collaborators and audiences over the many years. This is a private decision and neither he nor his representatives will make any further comment on this subject.”
The 60-year-old is said to have wrapped up the shoot of his final film, which is an untitled Paul Thomas Anderson project. The movie is expected to hit the screens in December 2017.
Daniel Day-Lewis bagged Oscars for his performances in Lincoln (2012), There Will Be Blood (2007) and My Left Foot (1990). He was also nominated in the Best Actor category for movies like Gangs Of New York (2002) and In the Name Of The Father (1993).
