Actress Khushbu has quit Twitter, saying it was an addiction she no longer wanted. In a series of tweets, she bid good bye to the micro-blogging site.
Speaking to Silverscreen, Khusbu said, “Yes, I have quit Twitter. I realised that tweeting is a kind of addiction. I want to get rid of this addiction and that’s the only reason I have quit. When you are there, you just cannot stop tweeting and I do spend a lot of time. Now, I want to utilise the time for my other interests as well.”
When asked what made her recognise that tweeting had become an actual problem, she said that realised that she was spending so much time typing that she didn’t end up attending to her daughters. That, she said, was a wake up call for her.
Instead of composing tweets now, Khusbu says she will spend more time with her daughters, and reading. She said she had recently bought a lot of books.
Only last night she tweeted that Sundar’s Sanghamitra was one of the costliest films ever made, and that the pre-production work has just began for the film. She also took a dig at a certain person who had been posting on her feed that the script of Sanghamitra was not yet ready.
Though she has promised to return soon, her Twitter followers will indeed miss her!
