Kannada actor Dhruv Sharma passed away on Tuesday morning after a cardiac arrest and multiple organ failure, reported Hindustan Times. The actor was admitted to a private hospital in Bengaluru on Saturday.
According to The Times of India report, Dhruv’s father, Suresh Sharma, told the police that it could be a case of attempted suicide. However, initial reports suggest that he was taken to the hospital after he collapsed in his house in Bengaluru on Saturday. His body has been taken to MS Ramaiah Hospital in Bengaluru for post-mortem.
The actor made his debut with Snehanjali. His debut film made it to the Limca Book of Records for being the first film to feature a speech and hearing impaired person in the lead role. The actor was noticed for exceptional batting skills during the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) and was a prized player of the Karnataka Bulldozers.
The 35-year-old is survived by his wife and two daughters. A memorial meeting is being planned for the weekend.
A spokesperson for the family requested the media to not speculate on the reason behind Dhruv’s death.
Celebrities were shocked by Dhruv’s sudden death and took to Twitter to pay their condolences.
