Vijay Sethupathi Set To Play The Role A 96-Year-Old In Prem Kumar’s ’96’

Much like the film’s title, actor Vijay Sethupathi will play the role of a 96-year-old in the film 96. According to a Hindustan Times report, the story will revolve around the three stages of Sethupathi’s character’s life — as a 16-year-old, a 36-year-old, and when he’s 96.

The film is being billed as a love story told from the perspective of a man at three different stages in his career. While Sethupathi as the 96-year-old will be brief, the latter stages of his life will be the focus of the film.

With Trisha Krishnan playing the female lead, the film marks Prem Kumar and Sethupathi’s their third collaboration after Sundarapandian and Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom
