Malayalam Actor Dileep’s D Cinemaas Gets Notice From Chalakudy Civic Body

Malayalam actor Dileep’s multiplex — D Cinemaas — has been issued a notice by a civic body on Thursday after allegedly violating rules and guidelines with respect to its construction.

According to an Outlook India report, the decision to stop the functioning of the multiplex at Chalakudy in Thrissur was taken at the Chalakudy Municipality Council meeting. Municipality Chairperson Usha Parameswaran said that the special meeting of the council was held to discuss the issues connected with multiplex.

The business establishment had come under the scanner after allegations of land encroachment and irregularities in procuring documents came up. The decision to cancel the licence was taken after it was found that both the documents were procured illegally.

Last month, the Thrissur District Collector filed a report with Revenue Minister E Chandrasekharan to probe into multiplex D Cinemaas and investigate the land encroachment committed by Dileep.

Dileep is currently at the Aluva sub-jail. He was arrested on July 10 for orchestrating the abduction and assault of a Malayalam actress that took place on February 17 at Kochi. The police had submitted a remand report that said the actor had offered Rs 2 crore to prime accused Pulsar Suni to attack the actress and shoot a video of her.
