Malayalam actor Dileep, who is facing jail time after being accused of orchestrating the abduction and assault of an actress in February this year, recently moved the Kerala High Court for the second time seeking bail. In his petition, he accuses certain actors, filmmakers and police officials of conspiring against him.
In the bail petition, Dileep has reportedly accused his ex-wife Manju Warrier of being involved in framing him.
“It is pertinent to point out that ADGP Sandhya is understood to be a person very close to the Malayalam cine actress (Manju Warrier) who, at the very initial stage of the investigation openly made a statement that there is a conspiracy in the case as if she had direct knowledge about it. The actress had come out in public against her close association with ADGP Sandhya,” reads his petition.
The actor further alleges that VA Shrikumar Menon, Liberty Basheer, and investigating official ADGP Sandhya are responsible for him being in jail.He also claimed that the ADGP turned off the cameras while he was talking about his relationship with Manju and Shrikumar during the interrogation process.

Dileep was arrested by the state police on July 10. His last bail plea was rejected on July 24 as the court feared he could tamper with evidence. Dileep then moved the high court for bail after an Angamaly magisterial court refused to grant him relief and sent him to judicial custody till July 25. The HC reserved its orders on July 20.
In the remand application, police had claimed that Dileep held a grudge against the actress for letting his former wife know about his alleged affairs, and plotted a conspiracy, way back in 2013, to exact revenge.
