Resul Pookutty has slammed the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA) for the haste with which they turned their backs on actor Dileep.
The AMMA removed the actor from the primary membership of the association shortly after his arrest in the Malayalam actress abduction case.

Dileep was arrested on July 10, following a series of gruelling investigation sessions by the Special Investigation Team of the Kerala Police. The actor received severe criticism for the alleged role he played in the abduction and assault of a popular Malayalam actress. Pulsar Suni, the main accused in the case, pointed fingers at Dileep and said that he was the mastermind behind the attacks.
