Two Indian movies of different genres are ready to impress the international audience – one is the Indian-Hollywood production 5 Weddings and the second one is Telugu film titled C/o Kancharapalem.
5 Weddings will premiere at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival while C/o Kancharapalem is officially selected for the New York Indian Film Festival. The film stars and is produced American cardiologist Praveena Paruchuri. Set in Kancharapalem near Visakhapatnam and directed by Venkatesh Maha, the film presents a collection of stories from this place with a pinch of humour. The film is written also by Maha Venkatesh.
Telugu actor and Bahubali star Rana Daggubati have officially presented the movie.

On the other hand, Namrata Singh Gujral, the Indo-American film director, helms 5 Weddings. It revolves around the life of an American journalist who comes to visit India. The film stars Rajkummar Rao and Nargis Fakhri in the lead roles. Oscar nominee Candy Clark, Golden Globe nominee Bo Derek and Dutch-American actor Anneliese Van der Pol are also part of the cast.
