Resul Pookutty, the Academy Award winning sound designer, has added another feather to his cap. He was recently honoured with the Maharashtra State Award – Best Sound Design for his work in the Marathi movie, Kshitij.

Kshitij deals with the story of a young girl who struggles to continue with her education, facing a lot of difficulties. The movie released in December 2016, was directed by Manouj Kadaamh. Produced by Navroz Prasala under the production company of Media Films Craft Company (US).
The film stars Marathi actors Upendra Limaye, Vaishnavi Tangde as the 12-year-old girl, Manoj Joshi, Vidyadhar Joshi, Sanjay Mone. Music is done by Shailendra Barve and lyrics by Guru Thakur.
