The Looks And Names Of All Four ‘Queens’ Revealed

The character names and looks of Kajal Aggarwal, Tamannaah Bhatia, Parul Yadav and Manjima Mohan for the Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam remakes of Queen was unveiled on Tuesday. The Tamil remake, titled Paris Paris, is headlined by Kajal Aggarwal, directed by actor-filmmaker Ramesh Aravind and produced by Manu Kumaran under the banner Mediente International Films Ltd.

The Telugu remake titled That is Mahalakshmi stars Tamannaah Bhatia, is directed by Prasanth Varma and produced by Manu Kumaran.

The Malayalam remake Zam Zam, directed by Neelakanta Reddy, stars Manjima Mohan in the lead.

The Kannada remake Butterfly is also directed and produced by Ramesh Aravind and Manu Kumaran, and features Parul Yadav, who has co-produced all four versions.

The music for all the four versions will be composed by Amit Trivedi, who was the composer for the original Queen. 

Queen, the 2014 Bollywood hit featuring Kangana Ranaut in the lead, revolves around an under-confident young girl who goes alone on her honeymoon to Paris and Amsterdam after her fiance calls off their wedding, and gains new-found confidence in the company of new friends. Jointly produced by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures and Phantom Films, the film was directed by Vikas Bahl.

It is the season of remakes. Kaatrin Mozhi, the Tamil remake of the Bollywood film Tumhari Sulu directed by Suresh Triveni and featuring Vidya Balan, is due for release on October 18. Radha Mohan directs the film that sees Jyothika playing Vidya Balan’s role. Actor Vidaarth reprises Manav Kaul’s role and Lakshmi Manchu will play the role Neha Dhupia did in the original.
