Indian 2 is a sequel to the director’s 1996 movie. Initial reports said that Nayanthara was to be roped in as the female lead. But according to a report in TNIE, Kajal Agarwal has been signed as the heroine for this movie. And while Malayalam actor Nedumudi Venu is set to reprise his role from the original movie, Kamal Haasan had earlier revealed that Ajay Devgn would be playing the antagonist in Indian 2.
Latest reports suggest that Dulquer Salmaan has been cast in a significant role. Salmaan, whose last release came with Karwaan in which he acted alongside Irrfan Khan, played the lead roles in Mani Ratnam’s OK Kanmani and Bejoy Nambiar’s Solo which were the actor’s last major Tamil releases.
