Viji Chandrasekhar of Thillu Mullu fame will be making her Malayalam debut. The actress will share screen space with Mammootty in Pathemari, directed by Salim Ahamed. “I was told that Salim was impressed by my performance in Aarohanam. He spoke to my friend, director Lakshmy Ramakrishnan and inquired if I would be willing to work in his film. He came home to narrate the script to me. I was pleased,” said Viji.
The actress, who made a comeback with Lakshmy Ramakrishnan’s Aarohanam, explained that her role is meaty in Pathemari. “Salim is a promising director. The script is quite absorbing. And to top it all, I can’t believe that I’m going to work with Mammootty,” said an ecstatic Viji.
Pathemari will go on floors on October 13. In Tamil, Viji will next be seen in Nerungi Vaa Muthamidathe.
