Actor and director Cheran who is currently awaiting the release of Thirumanam will next be seen in an emotional thriller packed with action. The film is titled Rajavukku Check and will be directed by Sai Rajkumar of Mazhai fame.
The movie has three heroines – Nandana Varma, Sarayu Mohan, and Srushti Dange. It is said that Srushti will be doing an important role which has its own place in the film. Speaking to the Deccan Chronicle about Rajavukku Check, the director had said, “Cheran sir is known for his family-oriented roles. Here in Rajavukku he essays a never seen before character on screen. The movie will be a new experience for the audience.”
While talking about the actor’s role in the film, he said, “When I conceived the script, I was particular that only Cheran should play the lead. The film addresses an issue and certain things will reach audiences only if an actor like him says so. Cheran’s sports a new look in RC. So, I waited for his dates as he was busy with Thirumanam.”

Meanwhile there are also rumors that Nandana Varma plays Cheran’s daughter in the movie. It is said that the film will also be focusing on father-daughter relationship. While the shooting for the film began a few months ago it was stalled owing to the strike in the Tamil film industry. The shooting has resumed now, and reports say that the makers are planning to release the film later this year and its exact release date would be announced depending on how the shooting progresses.
Produced by Somman Pallad and Thomas Kokad, the cinematography for the film is done by MS Prabhu and music is composed by Vinod Yajamaanyaa.
Cheran, who has returned to acting after four years will be soon seen in his upcoming directorial Thirumanam, a family drama starring debutants Umapathy Ramaiah and Kavya Suresh in the lead. The film also featuresu Suganya Thambi Ramaiah, M.S.Bhaskar, Jayaprakash, Manobala and Bala Saravanan in supporting roles.
