Contrary to what has been reported, actor Vishal has not signed a two-film deal with Screen Scene Entertainment, the distribution company that acquired the theatrical rights of his upcoming movie Ayogya.
Talking to Silverscreen, the official spokesperson for Vishal said, “Vishal has not signed any deals. The news is entirely false.”
Reports about the Sandakozhi actor signing a multi-film agreement with the company first appeared in In.com yesterday. “Screen Scene is looking forward to expanding their production in Kollywood and on that note, they recently signed a three-film deal with Ravi. Now, they’ve got a deal with Vishal and an official announcement will be made soon,” a source was quoted by the website. Subsequently, other publications picked it up.
The news has come close on the heels of Jayam Ravi signing a contract with the same production house. A month ago, the actor had announced on Twitter that he had signed a three-film deal with Screen Scene Entertainment. “Looking forward to a wonderful partnership and some great content. More updates on the projects soon,” wrote the actor.
Excited to announce that I’ve signed a 3-film deal with the young & vibrant media house @Screensceneoffl. Looking forward to a wonderful partnership and some great content. More updates on the projects soon. God bless!

Multi-film agreements with a single company, a trend that has been largely restricted to Bollywood until now, has caught on in the Tamil film industry lately. According to a report by The Hindu, this trend started early this year. While Ajith has agreed to work with Boney Kapoor on two films, Dhanush is set to star in two films each for Kalaipuli S Thanu’s V Creations and Sathya Jyothi Films. Vijay Sethupathi has reportedly agreed to act in two more films for Vansan Movies after Sindhubaadh.
Vishnu Vishal is the latest actor to join the list. He has signed a three-film deal with Viacom 18.
Meanwhile, Vishal is currently awaiting the release of Ayogya on April 19. The movie has been directed by debutant Venkat Mohan, a former assistant of AR Murugadoss.
Jointly produced by Vishal Film Factory and Tagore Madhu, Ayogya is a remake of the Telugu film Temper which was recently remade into Hindi as Simmba with Ranveer Singh. Raashi Khanna is the female lead in the movie. R Parthiepan, KS Ravikumar, Sachu, Vamsi and Pooja play other roles. Sam CS is the music composer, R Karthik is the DOP, and Ruben is the editor.
