Actress Jyotika, who begins shoot for her film with Jeethu Joseph today, has reportedly signed her next with debut director Fredrick. Govind Vasantha is on board to compose music for the film. The project will be produced by Suriya’s 2D Entertainment.
The spokesperson for the actor told Silverscreen that Jyotika has just wrapped shoot for Ratchasi, and we must await announcements about the upcoming film. According to a report by In.com, a source said, “Fredrick is busy finalizing the cast and crew of the film. Govind Vasantha, who has done films like 96 and Uriyadi 2, will score the music. He has started preparatory works for the project.”
Fredrick is the husband of Joy Crizildaa, popular celebrity stylist in Tamil cinema. The film’s shooting will start from the second half of this year and pre-production works are on.
It was officially announced today that Jyotika’s film with Malayalam director Jeethu Joseph, co-starring Karthi, Sathyaraj and Anson Paul, has begun shoot.

The film marks Jyotika and Karthi’s first collaboration, and it is believed that they play siblings. Jeethu Joseph of Papanasam and Memories fame earlier told Silverscreen that he was on a recce in Goa to finalise locations. He also confirmed that Anson Paul of 90ML fame has an important role.
Vaicom 18 will bankroll the film along with Jyotika’s brother Suraj. Music is by Govind Vasantha.

Since the release of the Radha Mohan directorial Kaatrin Mozhi last year, Jyotika has been signing many projects with interesting themes. She recently wrapped shoot for director S Raj’s Ratchasi. As reported earlier, she plays a school teacher in the film, and it’s her second outing as a teacher after Khakha Khakha. Actors Poornima Bhagyaraj and Sathyan are part of the cast.
Shoot for Jyotika’s as-yet-untitled film with director Kalyan of Gulaebaghavali fame also just wrapped up. The film is produced by 2D Entertainment, and is in post-production stages. Actor Revathy stars in an important role, along with Munishkanth Ramadoss, Yogi Babu and others. The film is reportedly a comedy entertainer, and is expected to release in May.
