Rohatgi has reportedly been living with her parents in a residential society in the Satellite area of Ahmedabad for the last one year or more.

An FIR was registered against the actor on Thursday after a complaint was lodged by the society chairman, Dr Parag Shah, inspector AS Roy of Satellite police station told PTI. Rohatgi was booked for uttering obscene words (IPC section 294-b), intentional insult (504) and criminal intimidation (506), he added.

The report stated that she was harassing society members and, on one occasion, even threatened children that she would ‘break their legs’ if they played in the common area. The report further said that she attended the society’s annual general meeting with her parents on June 20 and refused to leave when it was pointed out that she was not a member. Rohatgi allegedly also posted an abusive message on the society’s WhatsApp group.

Claiming that the actor targeted him, Shah alleged that she threatened members of the society saying she could get them arrested on false cases.

While Rohatgi is yet to respond directly, she took to Instagram to post a video of herself worshipping a Hindu god and seemingly alluded to the incident in the caption. She wrote: “I know I am being used to fulfil an agenda by certain people who themselves don’t want to do the dirty work, but I am going with the flow even though I know I am being trapped as God has a plan for me which none of these powerful people can even touch.”

Earlier, in 2019, Rohatgi was arrested for allegedly posting objectionable content on social media against the Nehru-Gandhi family. She was later released on bail. The actor’s Twitter account was temporarily suspended as well.

Rohatgi is known for her stint on the reality TV show Big Boss, which aired in 2008.
