Sidharth Shukla’s Family Informs Mumbai Police There was No Foul Play Involved in His Death

Late actor Sidharth Shukla’s family informed the Mumbai Police on Thursday that he was not under any ‘mental pressure’ and they do not suspect any foul play in his sudden demise, CNN News 18 reported.

The actor died at the age of 40 on Thursday after reportedly suffering a massive heart attack. An official from Cooper Hospital in Mumbai informed PTI that the actor was brought dead to the hospital. His post mortem report is still awaited. While initial examinations suggested heart attack, the reason behind his sudden demise will become apparent after his post mortem is completed.

Shukla’s family has appealed to everyone to not spread rumours about his death.

The actor’s PR team said in a statement, “We have a request. We really want all of you to respect and stand with us during these tough times. As Sidharth’s PR team, we humbly request the media to draw a line and give his family and loved ones space and let them grieve. We are all in pain! We are as shocked as you are! And all of us knew Sidharth was a private person, so please respect his privacy and his family’s privacy. And please pray for his soul to rest in peace.”

Shukla, who has won two reality shows, Bigg Boss 13 and Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 7, made his acting debut in a lead role with the 2008 show Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Na.

In 2014, he made his Hindi film debut in a supporting role in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. The actor became a household name after his stint as the main lead in the popular TV show Balika Vadhu. He also starred in the lead in the web series Broken But Beautiful 3 this year.

Shukla’s last appearance was as a special guest on Bigg Boss OTT and Dance Deewane 3.

Ever since the news of his sudden demise broke, several members of the TV and film fraternity took to social media to offer their condolences, including Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Madhuri Dixit Nene, and others.

The late actor is survived by his mother and two sisters.
