Camerawork is very colourful and gives us a feeling that we are entering into a fantasy world. Songs are mediocre. With three songs coming in very quick succession very early on, it only irritates the viewers. The Maanja song is excellent and the Darling Dumbukku song’s starting to good but fails to impress later on. Maan Karate has a tinge of Edhir Neechal in it. Some of the negatives are that the climax is serious and lengthy enough to test our patience. Some of the unwanted scenes like Sivakarthikeyan falling on the feet of the villain could have been chopped off because he did not muster up the courage even after that. The director has managed to make a comedy film with some seriousness in the climax.
