Prasoon Joshi says that he wants to be more of a sensor than a censor. “As far as I can see, my role is not to micromanage but that of guiding sensibilities — to be more of a sensor according to changing times as well as not lose moorings in the velocity of change. The FEFSI has called for yet another indefinite strike from September 1. Last time around RK Selvamani and co. decided to call off the strike at the behest of actors Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth. Talks were initiated with TFPC, but to no avail. Now, Selvamani says that he made the decision with ‘utmost difficulty’ and that they had no other choice. This strike is expected to hurt the progress of atleast a dozen films currently being shot across the state.
