The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced its selections for the Honorary Oscars this year. Actor Jackie Chan, film editor Anne V. Coates, documentarian Frederick Wiseman and casting director Lynn Stalmaster will receive their Oscar statuettes at the academy’s Governors Awards on 12 November.
Cheryl Boone Isaacs, the academy’s president, called the four honorees “true pioneers and legends in their crafts.”

Arjun Kapoor was accused of consuming alcohol every day on the sets of his Half Girlfriend, and handing over the bill to his producer. At a recent photoshoot, the actor reacted to the reports and called them ‘baseless’. “I’m very fair to all. I always take out time for you all and I never complain when something is written about my personal life. But there’s someone’s personal evil agenda behind portraying me [as] unprofessional. It’s to mislead people. So I would like to request you all to not give such things importance. I want you guys to be responsible, it is important. It is shameful the way it is being written about and nobody is reacting to it. Rather than you guys saying that ‘it can’t happen’, you guys are asking me ‘tell us what did you do?’ It’s very very sad,” he said.
