What’s making the news

It was earlier reported that in solidarity with the Tamil Film Producers Council and the strike called by them in protest against the Virtual Print Fee (VPF) charged by the Digital Service Providers, the Telugu film producers council will not be screening any Telugu films in Tamil Nadu from Sunday onwards, including Samantha Akkineni and Ram Charan starrer Rangasthalam which has been performing well at the box office. However, according PR person Vamsi Kaka, the film will continue to run in Chennai theatres unless there is an official statement from the producers council.

Ranveer Singh who is recuperating from a shoulder injury gave us a sneak peek into Gully Boy. The film directed by Zoya Akhtar, will see Ranveer play the role of a Mumbai rapper from the slums of Dharavi and Alia is said to be playing his love interest.
