What’s trending
It was reported not long ago that the box-office clash between Salman Khan’s Race 3 and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anil Kapoor starrer Fanne Khan has been averted. This has now been confirmed.
Box Office India has tweeted the official release date of the film.
#FanneKhan starring #AishwaryaRaiBachchan, @AnilKapoor & @RajkummarRao will release on July 13, 2018. It is directed by @AtulManjrekar.@ROMPPictures @kriarj @TSeries

Fanne Khan is slated for release on July 13 so it will be coming a month after Race 3 hits the screens. Sources suggest, “It is a sensible decision by the makers to postpone the release date of Aishwarya’s film. It would indeed be hara-kiri to come on the same date as any big film, especially when it stars Salman Khan.”
Fanne Khan also stars Rajkummar Rao.
What’s making the news
Cinema theatres in Tamil Nadu will re-open after almost a month. The decision was taken after a meeting with the government officials. One of the reasons for the strike was the local body entertainment tax. The state government has said that it will form a committee to study their demand. No new Tamil films will not release, however, until the Tamil Nadu Film Producers Council allows it.
Tamil Nadu Theatres will re-open from tommorow after govt gives an assurance that all their demands will be met within one week. As far as LBET is concerned a committee will study & take a decision. They will play old Tamil films & other language till TFPC allows new releases.
